West Ham United and Everton Football Clubs are the latest Premiership Clubs to invest in the Catapult Minimaxx Athlete Tracking system.
West Ham United FC have purchased a system with 13 units and a wireless receiver and will be using it daily to track their players during training along with the Activio telemetry Heart rate system they purchased last season. The Catapult system will calculate distance covered, walk/run/sprint distances, player loading, time spent in different velocity bands amongst many other parameters.
The Everton Academy purchased the system last season and have now rolled the technology out into the senior squad. Everton FC have purchased 12 units and a wireless receiver and have taken the system on their pre-season tour to United States to track the players in training.
Other organisations to invest in Catapult Minimaxx system recently include: Leeds Met University, British Rowing, British Canoing and Cardiff Blues Rugby.
