Perform Better help GB win Gold at Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Perform Better have helped GB win Gold in the Skeleton in Vancouver- the Skeleton programme in conjunction with UK Sport have been using Catapult Minimaxx units to prepare for the Games. The Minimaxx units include a wide array of inertial sensors including: GPS, tri-axial accelerometers, gyroscopes and magnetometers which give a full picture of an athletes movements.

Welsh Rugby and English Institute of Sport install Optojump Next Modular system.

Perform Better have recently installed a 12 metre Optojump Next modular system into the English Institute of Sport facility at SportCity in Manchester and also a 10 metre Optojump Next modular system into the Welsh Rugby National Training Centre in Vale of Glamorgan. The system will allow the Conditioning and Rehabilitation departments to analyse players' running gait including contact times, stride length, left v right etc. In addition it can be used for Jump testing of both single and repeated jumps.

The University of Northumbria and University of Bedfordshire have also both recently installed 10 metre systems into their facilities.

Perform Better supply equipment for Vancouver Winter Olympics Training Camp.

Perform Better have been selected to supply equipment to the British Olympic Association for Team GB to use at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics Training facility. The equipment includes: Bosus, Rebounders, Balance Boards, Extreme Balance Boards, foam rollers, gym balls and mats amongst other equipment.

Rugby Football League supply Testing Equipment to Super League Clubs.

The Rugby Football League Performance Department have recently purchased a package of equipment from Perform Better to supply Testing equipment to all 14 of the Super League Clubs- the equipment includes Just Jump mats for measuring vertical jump and Osmochecks for measuring player's hydration levels.

Skandia Team GBR install Scifit Upper Body Ergo into new Training facility.

Perform Better have supplied a Sci Fit Upper Body Ergometer into the new Skandia Team GBR Training facility in Portland- Dorset for the build up to London 2012. The Upper Body machine will allow the athletes to perform Cardio- Vascular work outs using the muscle groups they use in their boats.

England Cricket- the latest National Team to order Activio Heart Rate system

England Cricket are the latest National Team to invest in the Activio Telemetry Heart Rate system. With a range of over 200m the Activio system is able to pick up all the players on a cricket pitch and feedback live heart rates to the coaches.
Other National Teams using the system include: Irish Rugby Team, Scottish Rugby Team and England Rugby Academy.

Catapult launch new minimaxx V4 10 hz GPS system

Catapult have launched their new minimaxx V4 10hz GPS Athlete Tracking system upgrading the existing minimaxx 5hz system. The increased sampling rate means the GPS performance is improved to give precise data on short sprints even when they include multiple directional changes. Other features include: faster and more reliable lock and relock in tough GPS environments, longer battery life, and faster magnetometer data rate. In addition the V4 will be compatible with Catapult's Smartball technology for possession tracking and ball use analysis.

ICC award PB the contract to supply Testing Equipment to Developing Nations

The International Cricket Council have awarded Perform Better the contract to supply Fitness Testing packages to a number of the Developing National Teams including: Holland, Kenya, Scotland, Ireland amongst others. The equipment includes: Brower Timing systems, Vertec Jump Testing, Scales, Height measures, Harpenden Skinfold Calipers, Stopwatches and Multistage CDs.

The SpeedBoard’s curved design allows any user, regardless of size or weight, to instantly achieve the speed they desire without the use of elevation or a motor!

The SpeedBoard’s sophisticated curved design is the culmination of years of non-motorized design and development by WOODWAY and Alex Astilean. The key ingredient is WOODWAY’s patented running surface and near-frictionless drive system, which allows the running belt to move freely.

The user controls their speed by positioning their body along the curved running surface. Stepping forward initiates movement, as the user propels themselves up the curve the speed increases. To slow, simply drift back towards the rear curve.
